Costner was born on Wednesday, December 5th, and we went home that Friday, the 7th. I tested positive for Group B Strep, so we had to stay until he was exactly 48 hours old, so we couldn't leave until 3:55 on Friday afternoon. This was fine though because I have to say that last afternoon was so relaxing. We slept pretty much all day in that room with the curtains pulled and life as we knew it on hold. It was a much needed break. The nurses were still bringing drinks and food and asking if we needed anything. It was just nice.
At 5 till 4, we loaded up this cutie in the car seat that seemed to swallow him to introduce him to what life would be for him.

Travis wanted me to take a picture of the time at exactly 48 hours after Costner's birth. I suppose this was either right before or right after the camera's death.
He loved the car. He slept the whole way, thankfully. He still loves the car and will generally sleep quite a while in his seat even when we are inside. Travis stopped at Target to get my Rx filled, but I think I only took one pill. I really felt really good with him. SO much so, that I'd overdo it on occasion and then feel it.
As soon as we got home, Jaggar wanted to show him his Rudolph. The phrase I say more than anything these days is, "WATCH HIS HEAD." It probably started here.
The proud siblings. I will say that Jaggar is so cute with him. He will say, "I wanna hold him!" Or just "Hold him!" or better yet, I will just look at him and he's holding his arms out and shaking his head yes. Sage is a great sister and wants to show him off to everyone.
So small in the Moses basket. This lasted about as long as it took me to take his picture, and he was in my bed. I don't have a problem having them with me when they're so small and eating all the time. He will be in his bed eventually.
You can really see how tiny he is in this picture. He still has the most awesome bed of any baby.
He had some watchers for sure.
Jaggar didn't want to miss out on a thing.
Loves to hold him and Costner really loves to be held now. He is such a sweet, content baby. The first night, he did really well. He really didn't wake up much at all. Thank GOD. He finally had mercy on me with a child that isn't afraid of sleep!
