Water Fun and Playgrounds

We (minus Craig and Travis, who weren't there yet) walked about halfway through the zoo by lunchtime, and we were hungry.  By hungry, I mean, my kids were hot and wanted to play in the water area.  Nichole had been a few weeks before this and told me about it, so I packed the kids' swimsuits.  Sage wore her bathing suit under her clothes, of course.  So, Jaggar, seeing this, wore his swim trunks under his shorts. :)  Oh yes he did.

So on the way to the cafe, where Nichole mentioned was air conditioned and was right next to the water area, we took a few more pics.

This elephant actually sprayed water out of the trunk.
Costner had had enough of the stroller by that point and was ready to be carried.  He wanted to see the zoo too.  That lake and fountain is in the center of the zoo, so the entrance is directly behind it.

Sage and Costner in a cut out.
So, we ate lunch in the cafe, and Travis and Craig arrived before we were done.  My kids were tortured watching the other kids play in the water, but they had to eat first.  When we were done, we went back outside, and Sage took her clothes off since she was in her suit.  What I didn't know is that even though Jaggar had his trunks on, he also had underwear on too.  I looked at Travis across the area, who was waving and pointing at me.  I kept saying, "What?"  I see some people laughing, and I look down and Jaggar is standing beside me buck naked.  I said, "OH!" and pulled his pants up.  I wish I could say that's the first time he's done something like that to me, but it is not.  They did get in the water after that.
And where do they go but to the part that is pooling and nasty, but "it was warm."
They got their fill of that and had a ball.  We weren't rushing them at all.  Whatever they wanted to do, they did it.  Right off of the water area was a really neat playground that we played on after that.  It had all kinds of levels made out of rocks...almost dangerous in some places, but everyone made it out unharmed.

Lots of cool places for pictures.

 Elephants.
Then we decided to get arm bands so that the kids could ride the train, the carousel and see the Dino Island exhibit (totally Jaggar) as many times as they wanted or that time allowed.  Time passed SO quickly there.  Here they are on the train, which Jaggar and Paisley were unsure about.
