5 Months

Baby Bleu did it again:  he turned another month older one week ago.  FIVE months on Cinco de Mayo.  ;)  He is really coming alive and showing his personality now, which is SUPER sweet.  He's such a snuggly baby.  He will smile at anyone who will talk to him for 5 seconds, and one of my favorite things is that when he does that, he smiles and immediately turns his face into whoever is holding him (usually me) like he is so shy.  Then he'll look back like, "Do it again."  It's so cute.  He is also NOSY.  It is increasingly difficult to blog while holding him because he is turning back as far as he can to see the computer and hit the keys, which he succeeds in doing.  At first, I though it was accidental.  Same thing with the ipad.  But he is DEFINITELY hitting (or trying to) buttons and screens.  He's not doing it consistently just yet, but he did reach for me on his 5 month birthday.  He is putting his hand out for pretty much everything now, but he's not mastered the skill of opening his hand to grab just yet.  Sage is the funniest person in the world to him. She can just walk by, and he'll start to giggle.  Oh!  Costner is the most ticklish child you've ever seen.  I can't change his clothes without him going into hysteric laughter.  It's so funny.  It's almost like it hurts him.  He laughs that hard.  I'll have to try to catch that on video.  He isn't rolling over just yet, but he can easily roll up onto his side.  I think he could do it if he laid down more.  :)  Costner did have his first time in the nursery on a Wednesday a few weeks ago, and he loved it!  He played in the jumperoo, and they said he was the best baby, and they were correct.  He loves to hold his feet and tries to get them into his mouth...that is, when his hands aren't in his mouth.  And he almost ALWAYS has a hand in his mouth.  People always say, "Oh, he's teething!  You better watch out."  And he is, but that's a process that starts at like 2 months and can go a good 6-10 months before you see a tooth.  But I just smile and say yes.  He has a new cry as of this week that sounds like he's talking like, "Gheee, gheeee, uh gheeee!"  That's when you know it's about to get serious.  He's doing it now as I try to finish this up actually.  No solids for him yet, but not too much longer until we'll start experimenting with some.  For now, he is content and so am I.

Here's some pictures on his 5 month birthday.
