Tech Boys

Last Sunday, on Costner's 5 month birthday, I woke up with a very sore throat.  By that afternoon, I was running a fever and by Monday morning, it felt like I had the flu.  Swallowing any food was like swallowing broken glass, talking was excruciating and if I didn't know by that, the white pus pockets I saw on the back of my throat confirmed that I PROBABLY had strep.  :/  But I certainly wasn't taking the boys to Cares with me, so I waited until Travis got home that afternoon.  We didn't leave my room or my bed all day...well, because I couldn't.  My head hurt, my throat hurt...my whole body hurt.  Thank God, they were wonderful.  Costner, of course, didn't complain, but Jaggar didn't either.  He watched movies and played with the ipad all day.  Not my best mothering moment, but this time, I was pretty sick.  I never changed them nor myself out of pajamas all day.

Jaggar was very into the ipad at one point, so I laid Costner down beside him right here.  It took all of 3 seconds...

Before he INSTANTLY sat up to check that out.  lol, see?!  He is strong!

It melted my heart to watch them play because Jaggar was sharing, and Costner was swiping at the screen.  I have no doubt he'll be using it in a few short months.  Even though I was sick and trying not to breathe the same air they were, I still enjoyed the day because it was just simple.  I wish these days (well...not sick ones, but you know) would last forever.
