We had a very quick trip to Kentucky last weekend before school started for the Ky State Fair. Due to our life changer last year, we missed the fair, so Travis was determined we were going this year. We had very little time to do anything or see anyone, but we knew it would be that way. We packed in as much as we could. We drove in on Thursday, and on Friday, we had lunch at Mema's since we were going to the fair on Saturday and driving home on Sunday.
She has a nice garden of cucumbers and tomatoes, and the kids LOVE to hunt for ripe vegetables to pick. And maybe some not so ripe vegetables to pick. Basically, if Jaggar sees a tomato, it doesn't matter if it's green, he's picking it.
Jaggar is still Mema's buddy.
I realized that it's been years since Travis has even been to Kentucky. Sad. I think the last time was probably my Papa's funeral. And that's been over a year ago. I know we didn't make it last Thanksgiving because I was days from having Costner.
