August 5th marked Baby Bleu's 8 month birthday. EIGHT months?! Ugh...it's so sad. And he is getting further and further from that tiny baby I brought home. He is on the GO all of the time. Once he learned how to crawl and stand, he did not forget. And I have a hard time with that phrasing of "once he learned..." he didn't learn! He just DID it. And he has not stopped. The other day I watched him trying to figure out how to get from one couch to the other while he was standing.
At 8 months old,his curiosity is at a peak. He is into everything. He doesn't forget where things are that I told him no to. I call him "one track" sometimes because he definitely has a one track mind, particularly when it comes to the power strip in the family room. He crawls and pulls up to stand easily, but when it comes to sleeping, he is not the easiest child. I will let him cry it out in his bed, but sometimes, he's just not willing to give it up. I also think his top teeth are trying to make a debut, which has something to do with that. He is still very ticklish and thinks that his older siblings are the funniest. He wants to join them whether he's wanted or not, but most of the time, he is.
Where he was my easiest baby, he is my most difficult when it comes to solid foods. Now when Travis is here to feed him, he will eat almost half of a big pouch of baby food. We buy the squeeze pouches. But if I try to feed him? Nope. Not happening. He will not do it. Travis finds this amusing; I do not. Because unfortunately, for Costner and I, we are together most of the time. So...eating food would be ideal in my company. Finger foods are fine for him. He can eat Cheerios and Annie's Organic Cheddar Bunnies, but call me crazy, I'd like him to eat real food too. He also can eat bits of avocado. Even though he's on the go a lot, if I walk in the room that I've been out of for a while, he'll instantly start crying and frantically trying to get to me. Still a mommy's baby, and I love that. He's our precious Bleu.

This is why we call him Peep.
I still remember a picture of Jaggar at this table for the first time. They have similar expressions.
Sweet angel
We can't tell if his hair is going to be platinum or strawberry blonde or...who knows?
Always trying to stand
I had to have Travis take these because pictures are near impossible now that Costner is so busy.
Sweet baby face
