Shopping with a Pirate

A few days before we left for Kentucky, I had a lot of errands to run and I was in a hurry to get out.  And by in a hurry, I mean, to leave the house before noon.  So I laid some clothes out for Jaggar, but he has inherited my gene of never wanting to get dressed or leave the house.  He is more than content to sit at home and never leave.  Same here.  So, when I told him to put his clothes on, he came back with 3 pairs of pants on. Those included his original pajama pants, the track pants....and his pirate pants.  He also had on his entire pirate costume.  So...like any SEASONED mom, I went with it, and we went out and about in full pirate attire.  Got a lot of laughs and sweet smiles from those that had grown children, probably longing to be me.  And I don't blame them.  I wouldn't trade this for anything.

Also, thought I'd say this is what happens EVERY time I'm getting ready. He empties out every drawer that I own.  He loves to take the hair dryers out, and it appears the curling iron was next.
