I knew one of the things that I wanted to do while I was here was to take the kids to Chuck E Cheese. I worried with school being out about the crowds, but we were going either way. I was so pleasantly surprised when we got there and hardly anyone was there! Jaggar hadn't been since he was like 2, so he didn't remember it at all, but I can assure you that he won't forget it. He was like, "This place is AWESOME!" We got 100 tokens, 2 salad bars and a pizza ordered, and we were in business. I was starving, and as soon as I set my plate down...lights start flashing and we are evacuated outside. They were working on something with the ceiling, so I think that they knew that it wasn't a real emergency, but because those alarms were going off, people had to be evacuated and the fire department had to come...so they said. I never saw them. They were so nice and they knew exactly what to do with waiting customers outside. It wasn't 5 minutes before Chuck E Cheese himself was out there giving out free tokens. Jaggar was in heaven. Chuck E could hardly move for Jaggar wrapped around his legs. Before we knew it we were back inside. The food was great (seriously...it sounds funny, but they have a GREAT salad bar, and I loved my pizza too). They had remodeled and gotten some new games. It was so clean. The staff was so nice and helpful. I can say this about so few places these days, too. It was a great day. We spent ALL day there, and when we went to cash in our tickets, it started to pour rain. I said we were going to play some more until the rain stopped, and the manager gave us a handful more of tokens for each kid.
Even baby Bleu got to ride. He loved the whole place with the lights and the noise. He was perfect.
And we saw Chuck E Cheese countless times. I don't know how often he comes out...every hour maybe, but every time he does, he dances with the kids and gives out free tickets. Jaggar loved it and danced his heart out each time. Although, when he threw the tickets, Jaggar would just freeze and cry because other kids were getting them lol.
Precious babies. Costner rode a few times, too.
I have a video of Jaggar riding this when he was a baby...or maybe it was Sage, but I clearly remember Ken Chuck E Derby. :)
Pretty girl. While Jaggar liked more of the games (Jurassic Park where we shot at dinosaurs chasing us was a fave), this one liked the chance games to win tickets. She did win 15 and 20 several times, but wanted the 100. I wished she'd won as many tokens as she spent, but all together, I think we did end up with a little over 300 tickets.
Look at Jaggar's face.
He finally gave it up for a little while.
This was a roller coaster simulator that they loved. I've got some video of that here.
Then Sage was so sweet to take Costner down the baby slide.
And to take him on a ride.
Can you see Jaggar?
Aren't they so sweet?
Look at that precious boy.
So happy all the time.
We had a wonderful day and ended it with GiGi's cupcakes. SO good.
