First things first. The elves tried to pack Sage's lunch this morning. Do you want to know what time I found this out? 5:55 am. (Travis said that I got some grace. I did not laugh.) Yep, I was seriously DREAMING (that's how asleep I was) when Sage burst through my door to say, "MOMMY! Guess what the elves did...did YOU pack my lunch?" *snicker, snicker* I could not even open my eyes. It WAS the best sleep I'd had in a week. Sigh...but what better thing to wake up to than this? She thought this was the funniest thing ever.
Now. Onto my point. You saw ALL that stuff my parents got my kids for Christmas? I even had a post on Travis opening gifts from them. But what about your's truly??? Well...I didn't mention it because I wanted to SHOW it, but I got something awesome and necessary. The issue was that I couldn't get it home because there's no way it would have fit in my car. My smart mom decided to return it and then re-buy it and have it shipped here. Confusing? Just skip that and LOOK. VOILA. A HUGE jewelry box!! Do you know where my jewelry is now? Everywhere. Travis had just put it together here, and I'd just started to put some stuff in there.
Oh, but it's not JUST a jewelry box. OH no. It is a two-fer. :) You shut it and it's a beautiful full length mirror. One gift combined my 2 favorite things: jewelry and my reflection. Can life get better????
Can you believe I've not had a full length mirror? ME. I have NOT had a full length mirror. I thought this might actually be a problem in getting ready because I would obsess too much. I find I'm STILL standing on my tip toes in front of the bathroom mirror to try to see, and then I'm like, "Ohhhh!" and go into my bedroom to this lovely. It's nice. I do realize the holidays are making me more Kim Kardashian-ish than I'd care to be right now. This mirror is my JUDGE. lol And today I figured out why...
it's probably because of this. Okay, I seriously laughed out loud when I saw this in the store. I didn't know they actually sold this. I still laugh when I see it. What IS that? Do people eat that? It was in the baking aisle! I'd have to divorce Travis if he ever tried to put this in anything we ingest.
Mr Cruiz in the tub with his Rudolph toys. Things just weren't going his way this morning. I liked how he stacked his toys, but he was definitely not giving me a smile.
Thank you, GOD, that the sun is out! I'm hoping it signifies that in life, too. Here's to believing that! Happy Friday!!
