Someone should pay me for writing this blog because the motivation I had to pull to do it had a price. I said before that if I skip a day posting that I never want to touch it again, and that's so true. Not to say I'm not enjoying life...I just don't always enjoy writing about it. :) OKAY. So, on Sunday, I thought the dogs were running across the deck, but what it was was Sage bounding out of her room because the ELVES brought a surprise--a gingerbread sleigh. She was SO excited to build it. That worked out nicely because Travis literally went to work after lunch on Sunday and didn't come home until Monday afternoon. Ouch. So, this gave us something to do on Sunday evening. Okay, so whoever puts these lovely pictures of the final product is a blatant liar. First of all, the reindeer wouldn't even sit upright like in the picture. And the icing? It's thick and sticky and not workable. It's just not even possible to make it look even a little bit like that picture.
But Sage and I managed to make it look BETTER, and she loved it. Jaggar screamed for about 40% of the time to eat the candy. I think it turned out pretty cute aside from the fact that it can't be as precise as the box.
She worked so hard. Sage is very crafty unlike her mother.
Happy faces
And what did the elves do this morning? ALL of them climbed to the chandelier and were hanging upside down from it. Sage started sprinkling her pocket elf, too. She was even up there. These pictures were taken by Sage. In an effort to not get out of bed, I gave her my phone and let her take pictures. I am pathetic, but I will get better....even if that means an IV of caffeine or speed every morning.
Oh, they didn't JUST climb to the chandelier. Cara and Mickey changed clothes. HE was wearing the dress.
And here's Cara wearing Mickey's clothes.

Very exciting mornings, huh? :)
For those of us that aren't in sleep comas, yes. :)
