So, last night was pretty standard. Travis got Jaggar completely ready for bed and was reading a story all while I was still trying to get Sage from the bathroom to her bedroom. It's almost unfair how that falls to ME nightly because it is a job to get that girl to move. I don't know where that comes from, but certainly not me. :) Travis calls us both the Sims. If you've ever played the game, they walk around mindlessly...lol...he's actually pretty right on. I FEEL like a Sim most of the time. So anyway, both the kids were in bed. Travis and I were chatting when I heard Sage getting up. This isn't anything revolutionary. I just figured she had to use the bathroom "one more time." Travis went to make sure everything was okay...and the next thing I knew, she comes bounding in my room, "I LOST A TOOTH!" Um WHAT?! I totally did NOT see that coming. She usually gives us weeks of academy award winning performances of drama to not mess with a sideways tooth of her's. I'd just noticed that morning that this tooth (bottom left) was slightly loose. And by the night? It was OUT. Impressive, huh? It was to her, too. CHECK out her face. I can't help but laugh every time I see it. We have a dentist appointment this week, and the first thing she said was, "I'm not going to have ANY cavities!" Haha. Very true.
So she got back in the bed. We all went to bed and knew we'd have an interesting night. With elves AND the tooth fairy in the house, it was bound to be fun. So this morning, I'm getting ready (just like a SIM--aimlessly) and she comes in my room with this. Instead of money under her pillow, there was a bag of a few pieces of dog food. It said, 'We 'toothed' your money. Come find us. Cara and Mickey." OMG, she was hysterical. She said that they had to be in the kitchen because the dog food had to be a clue. I agreed. So we looked around, but didn't really see them. I looked in the microwave, in a bag of popcorn sitting out from Target, the pantry...When suddenly, Sage opened the freezer....
We should have KNOWN. They do love the cold. And there they were with Sage's money. I told her that she should be grateful that they didn't spend it...because sometimes..they do take the car for a spin. :) Sage said that this was the best one yet.
