Following the Trail

This morning, Sage threw open our bedroom door to say, "There's a trail!" Oh, that elf... When we walked out of our room, she was frantic to find Cara. So we followed the crazy, very long trail of ribbon: 96 feet to be exact. It was crazy.Down the stairs...
Into the dining room...
all through the kitchen...
Ha, see possessed dog in the corner...
into the family room, over the vacuum cleaner, and into the bathroom...
When Sage opened the door, lights were flashing everywhere and there was toilet paper all over the floor.
A new friend! And Cara was holding the end of that never ending ribbon trail. This new friend is a baby reindeer straight from Santa. He had a card on him that told us that since he is a baby, he is too young to fly the sleigh. The elves help take care of the reindeer babies, so here is our's. They too go back with Santa on Christmas Eve (flight school starts the day after Christmas), but we are very excited to host another guest for a few weeks. His tag also says, "With Love From Santa." Sage appropriately named him "Rudolph" after the initial name "Clarice" didn't fit when she realized that it wasn't a girl.
The flashing lights are a necklace for Sage because Santa has a ton of lights at his place. Sage was beyond excited this morning. She immediately called my mom to tell her. Then Sage told me that she liked her new reindeer and elf more than us, but she liked us too...it's just that she REALLY likes them. That's my girl.
