Today was the day--Santa was coming to the mall! At 9:30 am on a Saturday. I am well aware that this is not that late compared to some that go to work daily, but for some reason, it was such a struggle to get there. We made it though, and the kids were excited.
I was surprised that there weren't many kids there at all. Maybe they all shared my 9:30am sentiments, but it was nice for us to not be in a huge crowd. The kids could kind of run and play, and I could still see them. Jaggar's shirt says, "Dear Santa, I've been very (which is crossed out and 'kinda' is written next to it) good this year." :)

They passed out these letters for the kids to fill in for Santa. Here is Sage's. She is very consistent in saying she wants an American Girl wheelchair, crutches, and leg cast. She also wants the American Girl doll, Julie. Apparently, she wants her to be handicapped. She also put "surprises" because years ago, when she couldn't think of much to ask Santa for (she never does ask for a ton), he asked her if she liked surprises. That's always worked out well for her.
And here is Jaggar's letter. Can you tell what part he did?
One of Sage's friends, Cambry, from church was there, so Sage and Jaggar were thrilled. He is sure that all of her friends are his, too, and that's pretty true. They love him, too. Before Santa came out, they read a story about making your Christmas list or something. Here they are listening to that.
Kind of listening :)
And there he is!
I think Jaggar was in awe or shock or both.
He's always the first to donate to the salvation army.
Then we headed down to visit with Santa. He read their letters, and he said that by looking at Sage's that he was very pleased because she must be very caring towards the handicapped. :) I think that Jaggar would have sat with him all day if he'd have let him. He kept trying to walk in ahead of people, and he was literally just going to go right up to him on his own.
Emily, Grayson, and Adalyn were right behind us. After we visited with Santa, we went into Toys R Us, and I just loved how Adalyn was looking at Jaggar.
Nick told me that's the same way that I look at him. Ha. Ha.
And here's our picture. Jaggar has a cold, so he was not in the smiling mood, but 3 out of 4 isn't bad! 'Tis the Season!
