Yes, it's true--all good things must come to an end. Mom and Mema flew back to Kentucky the day after Halloween. No one was particularly happy about it, but I think we definitely got the short of the stick with them leaving. Here's why....
Top reason...she cooked every single day: lunch and dinner. She tried to ask what we'd like as we made a grocery list. I said, "You cook like you do when you're at home, and that will be more than okay with us."

Look at that. I ate like that every day. MULTIPLE times a day. I'm paying for that now in so many ways, BUT it sure was fun while it lasted. Sage, who is normally such a picky eater, ate everything she made and even requested seconds. This made Mema so happy. Travis was just happy to have food. I'm no Betty Crocker.
Jaggar, in particularly, was obsessed with Mema. He went back and forth from calling her Mema or Mom. He hears MY mom calling her that, so he just repeats. It's really cute either way. "Where's Mema? Where's Mom?"
Ha! Heck yeah, she brought this! I was like VIP every time I went anywhere just LOOKING for handicap spots. It was awesome. Mema has some problems with her back, so she gets this. And while I don't want to NEED a handicap sticker, it was really awesome just having one and still being fully capable. I realize that defeats the purpose. We all miss this. Sage is STILL asking, "Why did Mema take that handicap sticker?" Here I am front and center at the Summit on a SATURDAY NIGHT. Booyah.
