Parent Week for Dance

This week was parent week in Sage's dance class, the first of only two that we get to watch the classes. It's fun to see how far Sage has progressed in 4 years of dancing here. She's a good little dancer, and I'm very proud of her hard work. I know she's tired after long school days, but she still puts in 3 classes a week. I've got a LOT of videos.

First was tap. Here's her tap warm ups.

They are in the process of learning their tap routine for the recital. Here's the beginnings of that. I wasn't in the best spot, so I had to shoot it through the mirror. Sage is on the front row to the far right. This is pretty much her spot in EVERY number they've ever done. This one cuts Sage off for whatever reason when I post it on my blog, so anytime that bothers you like it always does me, then just click on the top left hand corner of the video (the title of it), and it will take you to the page where you can see her.

Next was ballet... Here's some warm ups.

They haven't started their recital number yet that we saw, so here's some more warmups from that.

A first this year for Sage is hip hop. They have to be 7 or turn 7 during the year, which is what Sage will do. I LOVED this class for her. I was cracking up during a lot of it. Here are their warmups.

They are learning their recital number, which is good that they're doing it early because it is VERY fast for them. I was impressed. Sage is near her normal spot on the second row in the black shorts.

And here is their music. Gotta love that song.
