Halloween

I'm finally catching up on Halloween events with this! We didn't do much, but I just took a lot of pictures. I'm not really so big of a fan of Halloween, other than what follows it--CHRISTMASTIME. But I do enjoy seeing my kids get so excited about...well everything. Sage had a Halloween party at school on Monday. Since Mom and Mema were in town, I was able to go and help out with the party. Sage was thrilled that I was there. She was so proud to have me in her classroom with her. I CHERISH that. Look at that grin.
Playing "guess the number," which was between 1-50. Whoever got the closest got to take home the class pumpkin. Sage didn't win, but guess what the number was? 7. I had to laugh. On the inside.
Sage did have dance after school. She'd be finished at 5:45, so there was plenty of time to trick or treat. She did get to wear her costume to dance, and she was excited about that. Here she is with Lydia.
Jaggar's BFF came to trick or treat with us--Paisley! Or "Paisey." Nichole said that their neighborhood didn't participate last year, so they asked to come with us. We had a blast!
How cute are they?
Beautiful, precious kids. Oh...and just a little fyi. See those great glowsticks? They're in the form of jewelry, too! Let me tell you about those. Travis was trying to get one going, and it snapped in two....and went ALL over my dining room wall. It looked like a forensic crime scene where they put the black light on the wall. YUCK. Well, the next day, I see that, in spite of being wiped off, it took some paint off. Worse yet, was someone (I'm thinking Travis) laid one on the dining room table, and it LEAKED and took the finish off my table--my BLACK table. It's like an 8 inch line. I'm a little sick over that one, so I'll continue to look at the picture of the children loving their glowsticks..on their final year of ever having them.
We pulled the little ones in the wagon. Our neighborhood has some STEEP hills. It occurred to me, while trick or treating, that if I walked them regularly, I'd be in shape. Sage was such a big girl and never complained about having to walk. (She usually rides in the wagon, too.) We went for about 2 hours. Sage, who is normally very shy, was saying, "Trick or treat. Thank you. Have a happy Halloween!' She'd look at me each time she did it, beaming with pride. I was impressed. And Jaggar...oh Jaggar was halfway up each yard saying, "TRICK OR TREAT! TRICK OR TREAT! SANK YOU!!!" It was SO funny. You can see a little of that here.
