Merry Christmas, Mom

It seems for the past several years that when we get to Kentucky, Mom always ends up with her present first. I think Sage just likes to give, and it's really just fine. Mom certainly wasn't objecting. Let me say here, that Mom has very (non) subtly said that she wanted the Pandora bead that says "MOM" on it. She has dropped this hint since the summer. So, I had the bead, but as all beads are, it just seemed...small. So I asked her the week before if there was anything in particular that she wanted. She said, 'You could get me that Pandora bead that says Mom on it--you and Kevin together." Okay. Thanks. I obviously couldn't say I already had it. So...I decided that since the element of surprise seemed to be out, I'd create my own. I had the Couches box, but I decided to put one of my very random beads in it: the ghost. It does signify Sage in that I've always called her "Boo-boo," but...I just wanted to see what Mom would do. Meanwhile, I had the MOM bead on MY bracelet--simply so I wouldn't lose it.

Here is Sage helping her open it.
And here is my video. I have to say that Mom did pretty well. She is genuinely happy with most gifts, I have to say. But deep down...I KNOW it wasn't what she wanted. :)
