Bye, Winter Break

Sage had to go back to school today after being out for over 2 weeks for Christmas. It was so sad to me. It was a bit crazy at times, but I really enjoyed having her here. On school days, she's there more than she is here, and I hate that. No really, I HATE that. She didn't particularly want to go back, but she really didn't care that she was going back either. In other words, she didn't cry the way that I did when I was in school. When she got home, I asked her if she was glad that she was back, and she said, "Oh yeah!" She loves school and for that, I'm thankful. The break could be summed up like this: It was the best of times; it was the worst of times. I want a do over because honestly we were sick for the entire 2 weeks with the flu: first, Sage, then Jaggar, then me. We became hermits being inside for that long, and we were okay with not going anywhere. After all, there are a lot of new toys around here.

Now EVERYTHING has started back: school, dance, gym, church...it's a tough mode for me to switch back to. I'm particularly sad this year that Christmas is over. I'm always somewhat sad when it's over because it's such anticipation for weeks and weeks with the music, the lights, the gifts, the decorations and then it's just instantly gone. I hate that. I guess routine will come back to us...well, me eventually, but right now, it's tough. I'll be counting down to spring break now, and if I hear of any outbreak of sicknesses at school, we'll be taking our break early. I do NOT want to go through this again.
