Our Turn

I suppose this is anti-climatic, but Travis and I exchange gifts too. Sage is just as excited to see us get as she is when she opens for herself because she went Christmas shopping too. They had shopping at school, and I sent money for her to buy for us. She was THRILLED when she came home with a bag full of wrapped gifts. Her choices were so sweet.

This was what she got for me. It's a magnet that says "World's Best Mom" or something like that. She also had an ornament attached to mine and Travis's that said "mom" and "dad" on snowmen. She got Travis a keychain light that said "Dad." So cute.
She is a daddy's girl.
I got Travis an Auburn lanyard to wear on tv shoots per his request.
These next 3 photos are funny. I told Sage months ago to make sure that Travis got me a pink hairdryer. I needed a new one and pink is my favorite color. So, of course, she wasn't going to forget. They had gone shopping together a few days before, and I whispered the reminder of what I wanted again that night. On Christmas Eve, I was sorting through gifts and she said, "So, do you think you're going to get that pink hairdryer? Do you think you're that lucky?" hahaha. I think that I choked laughing at her. I told Travis about it, and he said he was going to switch it out for a different color to show her. He asked her if she had told me and she said, "Nope." :) Smart girl.

Here is when I started to unwrap it. Look at her face.
She was so pleased with herself.
So was I.
Travis got me 2 Celine Dion DVDs, and this one is a 3 hour behind the scenes documentary of her tour. It is fascinating.
FINALLY! Travis got me The Message version of the Bible. Yeah, you can call me Miss Holy. I just finished reading my Bible through yesterday for the year, 3rd year running too, btw. 4th time total. But hey, who's counting?
Travis got a key finder. I actually got that for myself too. No, I didn't get two. Me getting that FOR Travis was also a gift to myself. I cannot tell you how many mornings that he is searching for keys. I only wish they had one for wallets and phones as well. :)
This was Sage's gift to Travis. She wanted him to have an Auburn flag for his truck. She is very specific in her gift giving. :)
Cologne
I got him a camp grill that he asked for.
And he also got a pair of cargo shorts for around the house. That was it. His gifts from us were done...BUT then...there was something in the pocket of the shorts.
What?! Ipod 4? With the camera? What he's been talking about since they came out? Even though he just got an ipod in February?
Santa had to have put that in there. Sage was just asking why Santa didn't bring adults gifts, and he did. Because I certainly would not buy 2 Ipods in less than 1 year.
And then Travis asked me if I got everything that I wanted. I did. He said, "No, you didn't." He asked Sage if that was everything, and he had her search under the tree. One more box. I was shocked. I show Travis things that I like all of the time, and this one was months ago: a copper Michael Kors watch. I love it. I was really, really surprised that he remembered that.

Unfortunately this is the only pic of when I opened the watch. I despise this picture, but I posted it to illustrate his kindness. Maybe when I'm not disgusting with the flu we can do a redo? ;)
