After the kids met their new brother, the rest of the family came in.
Look at Jaggar. Even though he liked Costner, I'm not going to say that he wasn't unsure. I see that in these pictures. He has done very well though. Sometimes he needs a little extra love from me, but that's okay. I've always got plenty of that for him.
I won't even realize how little Jaggar really was in these until I look back at them in a few years.
Then they had to do a few more things to Costner. Poor baby. All the work of being born and then being prodded nonstop. Rough welcoming.
When babies are born, they always give an Apgar score. 10 is the best possible, but I don't think they ever give a complete 10. The scores are based on things like color, crying, etc. Costner's was a 9.9, which was pretty cool, I thought.
I think I was trying to figure out how I wanted to spell his middle name here. I was typing it out to see what looked best. Honestly, I wrote it a few ways and showed it to Chrissie for her to pick. True.
Putting those drops in his eyes to prevent infection.
Measuring is baby head. When he was being born, Dr Collins kept saying, "Jules! He's all head!" lol, I never really figured out why because his head was average.
Vitamin K shot in that tiny leg.
Putting his bracelet on to match mine.
Putting that stuff in his cord to dry it out. It took about 2 1/2 weeks to come off.
Nursing for the first time. Like riding a bike to me. :)
He had a bit of trouble, but he was a pro pretty quick. Now he's more than a pro.
Look at that head full of pretty hair.
