Here's "a few" more pictures of Costner right after he was born. I know I have a flip book full.
Here's a video of right when he was born.
Baby hands with nails that already needed to be trimmed.
He had super long toes just like Travis.
Here they are cleaning him up.
And what we didn't notice until the pediatrician came by the next day was that Costner was tongue tied. He did have some trouble nursing at first, but I thought it was because he was just born. And it probably was the case because he nursed fine after a bit. Dr Caballero said it was so slight that he'd "wait and see." I was like, "Um for what? A lisp?" I just took a 3 year old to the dentist, and it was a nightmare. No WAY do I want to take one to have his tongue cut. Cut it. So he did.
But I'm glad he saw it because I don't know when we would have.
Sweet, innocent baby
And here is a video of him peaceful and clean.
Sorry about this. But I think it's amazing. I'm fascinated with everything birth wise. Dr Collins said I am VERY inquisitive. I have an opinion. I ask questions. I question what he does and why. And I always want to see the placenta. I think it's amazing. My body MADE that to support the baby. He always shows me where the baby was inside. It's fascinating really. Or disgusting to normal people.
We talk about how he handles dirty people, obese people, if they reuse those towels they just cleaned a lot of mess up with and what they're washed in, the Iron Bowl, iphones... :)
Does anyone else have these kind of convos with their gynecologists? Or is that just me? Seriously, he is a wonderful doctor and he helps make the entire experience really great.
