Penguins, Sharks and Submarines

After the orangutans, we visited the penguins.  Apart from the fishy smell, these are one of my favorites.  They are so entertaining and cute.  One kept swimming right next to Sage, and she said that she'd made a friend.

 Cute
This was a little cave part in the penguin exhibit, so of course they had to climb on it.
Some of the Halloween photo opps that they have all around the zoo at this time of year.
We had packed a cooler of our own lunch and ate in a nice pavilion over by a lake with ducks everywhere.  It was hard to get the kids to eat because they kept running over to throw some food to the ducks.  After lunch, Sage wanted to go up the "yellow brick road," which always leads to Dorothy and friends during trick-or-treating.  It's also up a hill so steep that I think I may need new hamstrings every time that I go up it.  Dorothy and the gang weren't there, but the wicked witch was flying through the air on a bike with the ruby reds on her feet.  I tried to get a picture, but it didn't turn out as cute as I'd hoped.
I'm sure this is where Ariel sits at night, but I think I fit the bill just fine.  She was always my favorite Disney princess.
They had this huge shark across from the shell we were sitting on, and of course, Jaggar was all over that.
 So cute
And our submarine picture that we usually have to wait 20 minutes for, we walked right up to.  Sage is in the shadow though.  I didn't think that she was in it at all until I uploaded the picture here.
