Next we went up towards the new polar bear and seal exhibits. Sadly, they'd just finished the sea lion show, but the polar bear was actually in very rare form--in the water. This hardly ever happens, but he would get out of the water, climb up on a rock, and literally dive back in. I've always been fascinated with the polar bears and always think of that story where the boys climbed in to swim with them and were killed. Always a pleasant thought. :)
Not the best underwater picture of him, but you can see how big he is.
Here's an above ground view of him swimming.
After the polar bears, we walked through some more fun Halloween decorations.
They had pumpkins everywhere, and Sage always liked to hold one for each picture that we took near them.
Flintstones
Then they had to switch characters because both wanted to be the dinosaur.
Candyland
Oopah Loompah and the kid who ate too much gum at Willy Wonka's
Hippo, something you don't see every day. These things are actually really dangerous, I hear. I have no morbid stories of children trying to play with them and getting killed though.
The Gorillas
Not the best picture, but this one was eating strawberries and checking Jaggar out.
