A New Place to Play

Back in July, my parents got the kids a new swing set. Very generous "just because," I know, but it was so appreciated and very much needed. Their other one was really old and the yard really needed to be leveled before a new one was built. SO that was my question to Travis before it was ordered, "Can you do this right if it's ordered?" YES. Little did we know that it would take over 2 months for that to happen. Many unfulfilled promises (and not Travis'--a guy who kept claiming he'd bring dirt) and arguments later, we finally got our dirt from ANOTHER guy and the work was ready to begin. Nick came over after work for 3 days to help Travis build it. Yes, it took 3 days.

This is what it looked like out of two boxes.
The beginning of what turned out to be a VERY long process.
And the finished product! The kids just love it. We still need to put some type of mulch or rubber down, but honestly we haven't had time to think about it yet.
He flies down that slide. Occasionally, he swings out by holding onto the windows. I expect nothing less. Travis spent 2 solid days on it by staying here to get it done. This was during the week that my Papa got sick, so it was a nice distraction, so to speak, for all of us.
The morning she left, the only part that was built was the tower itself. So she came home expecting just to see that again and saw the finished product instead. Very excited.
They love that little swing that Sage is on. They can sit back to back on it. Or front to back. Or with one hanging on their stomach off the side. I've seen all of the above.
Their house. Jaggar kept saying, "OOK at MAH HOUSE!" Thank you, Nonni and Papa!
