Sage's New Room

Sage has been downstairs in what used to be the playroom since right after I found out that I was pregnant. I thought this could be a hard transition, but she has loved it from the first day and said that she was waiting to get that room. It is a great room--the biggest one in the house, and as the oldest, I think she deserves that. But it has been a hard transition for me. I cannot STAND clutter, and the closet for this room is pretty small. Also that closet had strollers in it because it's actually right outside of this room, originally used as a hall closet. So I am just desperate for storage space and trying to find a place for everything. BUT her room has come along really nicely, and she is very proud of it. So, here is her new room.
I made her clean it today, so I thought that it was a good opportunity to post these.
This wall kind of drives me insane. I don't mind the door being blocked. We prefer it that way, BUT...I just can't stand stuff sitting everywhere. When it was just a playroom, I didn't care. How I will miss a playroom. I didn't get a good picture of it, but over the back door is a sign that says "princess." When I told her about it, she said, "Didn't they have one that said "Queen?" If she doesn't win an academy award one day, this has all been in vain.
My mom and I designed this wall at Hobby Lobby, minus the picture, and I think it turned out great. The colors match her bedding and rug perfectly.
Pretty girl
Happy in her room
