Beach Partay

Even though Jaggar still hates the beach (you can hear us walking down to it as he's screaming,"NOOOOO! NOOOO!!! I want to go to the big boy pool! I don't LIKE the sand! I don't LIKE the beach!"), everyone else here loves it. As many times as I've seen it, it is still breathtaking and a reminder that God is the best artist. This is my brother's first trip to the beach, and he loves it, too. Remember, we grew up in northern Kentucky, so the beach wasn't just a few hours from us.

Spence, party of 5. I have to say I really wish I was about 20 lbs lighter right now, but I am 18 weeks (today) pregnant. What can I expect? And...I still look better than most people that are nowhere near pregnancy.

So shy.
I have to say that Jaggar did better this year than last. He will stand and walk after some time. I don't know that he is ENJOYING it, but it's bearable.
Another thing that is so much better this year is that the water is crystal clear. Last year, there was seaweed EVERYWHERE, and it was nasty.

Kevin relaxing on the beach before he goes back into the ocean. He goes WAY further than I would ever dare. He went out where you can't touch. That is shark water, in my opinion. Mom informed us, after a day of swimming in it, that she saw purple flags, which we saw meant "dangerous marine life." Awesome.

Perfect view.
I took this picture because it was a miracle that Jaggar was playing in the sand. He said that he wanted to build a sand castle, but this is on the condition that sand doesn't touch him. You can imagine what a castle that turned out to be.

My boy

Another day that we went to the beach, Jaggar would not get off my lap. While everyone else was playing, he sat like this...asking to leave.
He did take a minute to smile.
One odd thing about this trip is that there are hardly any shells. I thought that was a pretty standard thing for the beach, but apparently not. You have to dig for them or catch some when a wave brings a few in. Way too much work for me, but Mom loves the shells. She loves them so much that while looking, a wave knocked her off her feet and into the water. I have begun a lifetime of regret for not getting that on video.
The day before we left, Miss Sage lost another tooth, and of course the tooth fairy came.
And with her money (we fit the rest :), she bought a boogie board to ride the waves.

She likes to look for shells, too.
And doesn't mind when a wave knocks her down.

My favorite girl.

Love this picture. Not bad for a cell phone pic
So pretty

Thanks, Bill.
Nick, please put facebook on your phone again so you have something to do because clearly WORKING is out. Ps I never said I gained 20 lbs, nor did I say the baby is heavy. I would just like to be that thin at the beach. And your farmers tan means nothing.
