Red Lobster: Up Close and Personal

The day after my hellacious stomach virus, Memorial Day, I was craving Red Lobster's Caesar salad. Probably not the MILDEST thing to eat the day after you've lost 6 lbs, but I'm a believer that you should eat what sounds good, particularly when you've been sick. It's funny, we NEVER go to Red Lobster. Sage hadn't been since she was an infant. A few weeks ago, it sounded good the day of my anniversary, and I was reminded of how good it really is. Their bread is the best, hands down. Plus, I'm just tired of paying prices for fast food (Chick Fil A, Firehouse, Subway...it's all the same) for what I could eat at a REAL restaurant. Anyone notice that these days?? Anyway, Jaggar was obsessed with the lobsters then (or "monsters," as he called them), and I thought Sage would enjoy it, too. We enjoyed our food (the salad was as good as I'd hoped), and the service was great. Afterward, I asked them if they wanted to see the lobsters again. Sage had asked while we were eating, "Do they ever let you pet them?" Umm..no, they let you eat them.

So we were out in the lobby looking at the lobsters.
Kids are loving it.
When the hostess says to us, "Do you want to pet one?" Umm...okay, Sage, I stand corrected.
They were thrilled. Of course, Jaggar had to tough the claws--the one place she said to be careful of.

It was a neat experience, I will say. I prefer them filleted and cooked in butter but this was nice. :)
