Jaggar's 3rd Birthday Party

I think I said before that Jaggar had only been mentioning his Thomas birthday for WEEKS in advance of his birthday. Every day. Many times a day. So it was almost too good to be true on the day that it arrived. His actual birthday is the 21st, which was a Monday, so we had his party on the Saturday before--the 19th. I literally ran from early that morning and didn't sit down until after 6 that night, but it was worth it. He had a blast! But I'm getting ahead of myself. Here's the birthday boy the morning of his party.

I called Travis when I was almost home from one of my errands because I wanted him to take pictures of Jaggar's face when he saw what I was bringing home.
Guess what he sees? (Hate this is blurry)
Oh, yes! His balloons, including a Thomas balloon.
Could life get better?
Also early that morning, after picking up Lamar's Donuts, I stopped by Walmart to see if his cake was ready even though it was earlier than I told them I'd pick it up. Surprisingly, it was. You should have seen Jaggar's face when he saw this. He kept saying, "It's my Thomas birthday!"
And then he had to carry the Thomas pieces everywhere. We actually had to put the cake in our room and lock the door because Jaggar could not leave the cake alone.
I'm glad that I took a picture of this balloon because I did lay Jaggar down for a nap before his party. Right as people were getting there, he woke up from his nap very happy and was THRILLED to see the balloons tied to the chairs. (They weren't before he went to sleep.) And before I knew it, he had untied the Thomas one and carried it into the family room where it met a sudden death with the ceiling fan. Oh, well...

I just wanted to take a picture of my family room to show that it was actually clean before people arrived. It hasn't looked like this since. I don't know why I do this before we have company, but I do it every time, and it always looks way worse than it ever did to begin with.
Nick was kind enough to bring his slide over for the kids to play on. I wanted this in an effort to keep children from destroying my house (and to have fun, of course). Both were successful.
They played on the slide and drove the car around and around until the battery died. It's funny. If we bring that car in the yard on a normal day, my kids may drive it for 20 or 30 minutes before they're ready to do something else. But you have OTHER kids that WANT to ride it? It suddenly becomes the most prized toy they own, and they don't want to share or give others a turn. Go figure.

It was very difficult to get pictures of the birthday boy because he was everywhere and had no time to take a picture.

Travis took as many pictures outside in the first half of the party as he could stand before it was time to go inside and eat. It was really hot outside so food was a nice break. More pics to come. I had over 200.
