Catching Up on Spring Break

Since I did a crash and burn towards the end of spring break, I never took the time to post much of anything that we did that week. Thankfully, I feel much better now minus congestion...and the fact that I can barely speak, so you can forget singing. THAT is extremely frustrating for me. I generally sing all the time. And I can barely get above my speaking voice before my voice completely gives out and makes no sound or terrible sound. I would go on a vocal rest, but that's pretty much impossible. So until it gets better, I sound like Whitney Houston when she attempted her comeback tour and was clearly still on drugs (God rest her soul). Seriously, I sound like this.

Anyway, we had a good, low key spring break. It made us that much more ready for SUMMER. We took it easy most mornings. I took Sage to my life group/stay at home moms group that I go to every Tuesday, and she enjoyed that. We went to the museum, of course. She went to her practice at church for the song that the kids are dancing and singing to on Easter. We went to 32 degrees. We actually got to watch tv, which is something we don't have a lot of time for. We went to an Easter party at Nick and Emily's house on Sunday with the huge slide blown up and an Easter egg hunt. She said that was her favorite day. SO...out of all of that, I have a big FOUR pictures. :)

Oh, and what she did the most was play with her American girl dolls. She STILL loves those like they are brand new, and I am so glad. She dressed herself and Julie alike one day and fixed their hair the same.
Outside of the museum
Our famous pose, though the lighting is bad and I can't fix their glowing eyes. (On a disturbing note, the wasp that stung me and was stomped to death shortly after was still lying in the same spot where we stomped it. Ummm....that was weeks ago. I was SO close to telling them that clearly it's time for a little deep cleaning, but I refrained...but I don't know if I can do that again if it's still there the next time that we go back.)
