Today, Sage's school hosted a Mother's Day Brunch. It was so sweet. Sage's school is small with only 4 teachers, but they work so hard to make it so special. As far as I'm concerned, they definitely succeed. I love this school and will be so sad to see it go for Sage. We registered her for KINDERGARTEN yesterday, and I was emotional then! I refuse to think about that now. Back to the brunch: the teachers had lemon bars, monkey bread, apples with caramel, hash brown casserole, pin wheels, pimento cheese sandwiches, quiche, and veggies. It was really nice, and Jaggar was definitely glad that he was there.
The kids came in after we ate, and they sang a sweet song for us. Then they brought us their gifts: a plate with their hand print and name on it, a spoon with "kisses," and a cookbook. This "cookbook" was made up of recipes from the children based on how their mommies make it. I was terrified to see what Sage had said. Her's went like this: "Mac & Cheese--Put the mac & cheese in a bowl and put in the microwave to cook. When it cools off, my brother and me eat it." Sigh...she's actually spot on.
Right when they came in to sing. So cute.
My girl
I think Jaggar was still chowing on hash brown casserole.
Sage with her plate. Isn't that sweet?
