Jaggar's Birthday Party

On Saturday, May 22nd, we had some of our closest friends and family (27 of them, to be exact) over to celebrate Jaggar's first year of life with us. It is so nice to have a birthday in a WARM month (Sage's is in January), so we decided to cook out. The weather was awesome, and we had a great time celebrating Mr Jaggar Cruiz. My mom asked me, "How does he do around big crowds?" I said, "We're about to find out." He was a little clingy at first, but before I knew it, he was here and there with everyone. Here's some (okay, a lot more than some) pictures of his day.

The cake: It tasted as good as it looked. I was SO pleased with it. All I did was send the girl pictures of Jaggar's nursery, and she made this up. It matches his bedding, and the stripes/dots pattern is just like his area rug.The top part was going to be Jaggar's smash cake, but it was so big that I ended up cutting about 1/4 of it off and giving it to him.
The birthday BOY!
Holland was very concerned that he was touching HER chair. Such a girl, haha.

1st time eating cake...
Not so sure....
but...I think I like this.
Always. Ready.
Overhead of the mess

Oh yeah, it's good!

Present time! That's Parker. She and Jaggar played so well together.
Conspiring...
I love Jaggar's face in this one looking at Chrissie.
Bombarded by girls. I see a future like this?

I didn't know how he'd react to all of his gifts, but he really was excited about them.

He did get distracted, and then it turned into MY party. :)
But he came back.

And NO one was taking pictures. Sad.
Sage made her own card. So sweet.

Drums!

He had to go check out the tent,
and climb on the chair,
and go for a walk with Emily. Those are his new squeaky shoes from Nonni. They squeak each time that he takes a step.
Travis and I with our boy (sage was off playing or she'd have been in this.)
Love that sweet face
Happy Birthday, baby!!
