The Last Room

Since we moved into our house 4 1/2 years ago, it's been a process of decorating each room how we have wanted it. It is a SLOW process, which I think is good. It makes you appreciate each detail as it comes. Styles and tastes are always changing, but one thing that remained the same was that I hated our living room. There was nothing wrong with it. Some people had given us the furniture out of convenience (for us too), but would I have chosen that? No. But it was free then, so it was good. The living room was and is the last room in our house that we have really touched, so I had been looking for quite some time for furniture for it. My brother just got an apartment, so our old living room furniture suited him perfectly.

So now that we had an EMPTY room, we started our search. Last week, my friend Chrissie called to tell me that Z Gallerie had closed a ware house in Atlanta, so they had a ton of pieces that they were selling at 50-70% off. So Travis and I went to look, and we were successful. Below is what we got! We are so pleased with it, and though there is a lot more to do (paint, accessories, getting rid of the piano, etc), we're still taking it one thing at a time.

Sectional (I have wanted to do brown and orange in this room, and that orange throw is something I have wanted for a looong time.)Leather Chaise that Sage LOVES. We plan on adding throw pillows to these to accent the colors we want.
