For us, the easter bunny isn't as big as Santa but something happened earlier this year that was a milestone with Sage. She and I were at the mall one day eating lunch, and the Easter bunny was there in the food court. Before we'd even gotten to the food court, Sage said, "I want to see the Easter bunny." I was just kind of like, "Sure you do (in my head)," but she kept on and on. I said, ''Ok, after I eat, I'll take you to see him,'' the whole time thinking she'd not even look at him when we got to him. There were no other kids around him, and when we got there, he waved to her. SHE WAVED BACK. This is huge. I said, "Do you want to go see him?" She kind of shook her head, but she whispered, "I want to give him a hug." The amazing thing is, she walked over and did it. I was shocked. I made a huge deal out of it. Then when we were walking away, she said, "I want to see Santa again." So maybe this year, it won't be all FOUR of us in the picture, but hey, I kind of like that.
Anyway, the bunny came on Saturday morning for us because Sunday was so rushed. There are a lot of pictures, but she was so excited that I had to post them all. You can totally see it in her face.
Her lootHere she comes
Getting more excited
Look at that face
She had a light up duck similar to this that went out, and she's never gotten over it. THANKFULLY, a new one was waiting for her that morning. She was excited.
