Happy Independence Day to everyone! We've had a low key 4th weekend thus far. This has been, in part, to the fact that I got sick starting on Friday with a sinus infection and dehydration (of all things!). 2 shots and a z pack later on Saturday evening, I thought I'd be good to go in like 8 hours. Church was yesterday, and I probably not so wisely went, so I really didn't feel well until today. Thankfully, I feel MUCH better today. Last year on the 4th, we spent the day eating our brains out at Chrissie's mom's house, but she had to work today. Boo for that! So Travis and I took the kids to Oxford Lake this morning for their "Freedom Fest" where different carnival food type vendors are set up. It was SO hot, so we rode a little train that they had around the lake, got some candy and a snow cone and called it a day. Travis and Sage will go back tonight for fireworks. Jaggar hates loud noises, so I will stay here with him and put him to bed. He has plenty of time for that. Hope everyone else has had a fun day with those they love!

Okay, so this morning, we took our time getting ready for the day. Sage and Jaggar were upstairs, and then they came into the kitchen...like this. haha! Doesn't he make a cute little girl? JUST KIDDING. He's cute no matter what, but we all couldn't help laugh at Sage making him her little doll.
This was last night when I was feeling less than great. Sage was so into taking care of me. She asked what my favorite snack was. I was so not into food at the time, but she came upstairs with a grape popsicle on a plate with a napkin and a towel covering it, so I couldn't resist her kindness.
Then I walked into the kitchen, and she yelled, "Don't look!" She was writing this on a paper towel. I actually got teary when I saw it. She has such a sweet, kind heart.
Before I took a crash in how I felt yesterday, we stopped at the same bakery after church from where Jaggar's birthday cake came from and picked these lovelies up. I cannot confirm or deny how many have been eaten and my contribution to that number.. I will say that a Thrive diet may be in my future again. ;)
