Mother's Day is absolutely one of my favorite days. It's the day that celebrates what I take the most pride in doing. Being a mother is one of the things that I pray and think about the most. It's the most exhausting, difficult, rewarding, fulfilling, and exhilarating thing I've ever done. My kids are my legacy, and if I say so myself, they're a pretty darn good one to have. I love them so much and am proud to be their mother.
My beautiful family. This picture is an absolute miracle with EVERYONE looking and smiling. it was truly a Mother's Day gift.

Another gift was to have MY mom here on Mother's Day.Sage (and Jaggar) came bounding into my room with gifts that morning. I put Jaggar's name in parentheses because he was in a pretty foul mood. He is definitely NOT a morning person. He must take after Travis. ;)
Sage got ME a flower like she got Travis for his birthday--the solar ones that dance in the sun. I can't say that I was at all surprised since she said, "Do you know what I'm going to get you for Mother's Day?" I told her not to tell me, but she said it anway. I said, "Well, don't tell me," and she said, "I didn't say I got it. I said that I MIGHT." Ha! It was what SHE chose though, so that's what I like. What was also neat about this is that I have one bible verse on my mirror that I've had for years, and it's the exact verse that's on this flower. Romans 12:12 It was meant to be.
After we went to church, we went to my favorite place: Fuji! I hadn't had their sushi since before the Thrive fast, and I have to be honest and say that it was all that I could think about at church. It lived up to my hopes. After that, Travis took the kids home and Mom and I went to Birmingham to shop. It was a great day. I really enjoyed myself being celebrated as a mother and celebrating my own mom.
