Art by Sage

This evening, Sage's school had an art show that showcased ALL of their crafts that they had made since the beginning of school last August grouped by seasons and holidays. In each display, someone got the "1st prize" ribbon so each child felt very special, and it was fun to search for the ribbon. Sage has worked really hard all year and has made some very beautiful things. I took a few pictures of her work.

Caterpillars: Sage's is the top right.
Thanksgiving Turkey
Travis and I were so impressed with the MANY different things that they were able to make out of hand prints and foot prints.
Sage's Easter Egg
This was the Fall section with pumpkins, scarecrows, corn, bats, and ghosts. Sage is pointing to her pumpkin.
Okay, this is so awesome. They made dandelions, and their teacher asked each child what their wish was. She then printed their wish and put it above their dandelion. They typically went something like: "wishes to meet the Jonas brothers, wishes to be a Barbie doll, wishes to have a puppy," etc. This is a picture of one of Sage's classmates, Blake. He, rightfully, got first place. ha!
Typical little boo boo. This made me smile. She seems so independent these days, and this reminded me of her before Jaggar was born.
Her Bat
Daddy, Jaggar and Sage in front of her Santa and flying reindeer made out of her finger prints. Jaggar almost swiped the paper off the wall. He was constantly taking a swipe at the work.
Her Santa
And the category that SHE won first prize in: the SNOWMAN. Yep, SHE drew Auburn on the face of it where every other child had eyes and a mouth, go figure. We had to laugh. This kid is crazy over Auburn just like her Daddy.
Mister
I thought that this was so cool. Her shamrock was the only one that was NOT colored solid green with a brown stem out of her entire class (though you can't see all the shamrocks here). I thought that was creative and bold of her. We have really enjoyed Saint Mark and what a sweet school it has been. I have not, for a second, regretted putting her there this year. They do so much with the kids to make them feel special, and she has learned so much. Kindergarten looms in our future, but she is ready and they have played a great part in that.
