Long Nights

Aren't long at all when you wake up to this.

One Month Old

Father's Day was also special because Jaggar turned one month old! I thought we'd made a deal when he was born that he wouldn't get too big too fast, but as all children do, he broke that deal. He's changing so much and getting so big. He weighed 9 lbs, 1 1/2 ounces last week. (He goes for his one month check-up on Thursday.) He loves his mommy (of course), his sister, his daddy and his nonni. He loves mornings, bath time when it's over, and being held. We sure do love you, Jaggar Cruiz.

I have to say that this picture doesn't even look like him. For those that ask, yes his hair has some red tint to it. But the funny thing is, you only see that in pictures and in certain lighting. In person, it just looks brown. However chameleon-ish his hair can be, it is very pretty and he's got a lot of it!

THIS is what he looks like, to me, in person.

Father's Day

Yesterday, we honored DADDY. You all know Sage. She's always marching to the beat of her own drum. For Mother's Day, she decided that I needed a birdhouse. So, to no one's surprise, she had her perfect gift for Travis too. When we were at the mall earlier that week, I asked her what she wanted to get Daddy. She said, "He needs UNDERWEAR! That's what I want to get him!" Soooo....hahaha, that's what she got. She also got him a movie gift card, which is his favorite place to go, so he can have some fun. We had a nice lunch and day together. And it was also special because it was his first Father's Day with a son. We love our boys. :)

Passed Out

And naked. Does life get better than that?

Over the Rainbow

Or in this case, underneath it. Aren't these fun? Travis, who is always the visionary, created this. Aren't they pretty?

Where does she get this from?

Some New Favorites

I think I'm finally current with photos on this post. Here's the proud big sister and the big 3 week old. Aren't they precious?

1st REAL Bath

Since Jaggar hated a sponge bath so much, I thought he might like a bath in his baby tub better. This was a week ago today, and he was 15 days old (the day after his cord came off). And the verdict is? NO! Not so much.
But it got a little better.
Sage was entertained.
Life is better when you're warm.

Just My Hair, Please

Before Jaggar's umbilical cord fell off (at 2 weeks old), he had to have sponge baths. He HATED them. He screamed through the entire thing...until, that is, I washed his hair. He got very still and very quiet every time I rinsed it. Below is a picture of that because I thought it was just too cute. He still loves his hair washed. Oh, by the way, I took him to be weighed yesterday at the hospital and he's up to 8lbs, 8oz. He's growing!

The Feeling is Mutual

Sage loves her baby brother, and he loves her. We've had some time of adjustment...lots of changes: a new family member, no school, Nonni is here...but it's getting there. We're settling into the "new" and it's coming along nicely. Of course, the house is a wreck. I don't remember where I put anything. It takes 3 hours just to leave the house, but these really ARE the best days of our lives. I say that with all sincerity too!
