The time for these is drawing to a close, and I knew from the beginning that I wanted to either pay someone to take beautiful, fun pregnancy pictures or let Travis go for it. He did and these are by far some of my most favorite pictures ever obviously. The only thing that would make them better is if he was in ANY. Oh well, it will be special for _______ to know his daddy took them. I didn't hold back at ALL uploading all of them. I have thoroughly enjoyed this pregnancy, and I will be genuinely sad to see it go. I won't even caption "one of my favorites" over and over, but it was important to me that Sage was a big part of this. I'm taking in every last moment I have with just her, and I wanted to show that.

FINALLY
Sage is a few months older than 4 years old, and she is JUST now able to sit in a booster seat. I know, some 2 year olds are and the majority of 3 year olds are. She has just now hit 30 pounds, which is the minimum requirement to ride in one with a back. She spotted this pink one at Target the other day with hearts all over it that say things like "fabulous" and "sassy." She was so excited to get in the car the next day to ride in it. She thinks she is BIG stuff, and she is. Travis took her to breakfast this morning, and she wanted to take my car just to ride in her seat.
I took this before we got in the car just because she looked so cute.

Baby Shower!
This past Saturday, April 18th, was my baby shower. When I first found out I was pregnant, maybe even BEFORE, I said that I did not want a shower. I kind of was feeling like "everyone is busy and no one would come." Chrissie was adamant that I was, indeed, having one. As time went on, I got more positive about it and realized that, "Yes, I DO want a shower."
Chrissie began working months before, and if a baby "shower" is typical, this was a baby "monsoon." She went above and beyond herself in planning to make it special for me from the invitations, to the location, to the "gift." The gift that she put together that she and 5 of my other friends went in on was simply amazing. I was completely overwhelmed. It went far beyond a registry. She had been out for months, apparently, finding things that I would love. You can see the basket (with balloons attached in the first picture), which is a Moses basket...I got a moses basket!!! And that was filled to the brim with sweet infant toys, a cute paci clip, tiny onesies, itty bitty pants, overalls from gymboree, a camo outfit (that reminded her of Travis), organic bath and lotion, a tiny silver spoon and fork, newborn diapers, organic wipes...a PETUNIA PICKLEBOTTOM diaper bag. I had always wanted one with Sage but never bought it. Chrissie's sweet mom actually spotted that and thought it looked like me. Inside that were lovey blankets...it was just surprise after surprise after surprise and I actually saw Chrissie's thought in each thing in it...and as if that wasn't enough, in the corner was the big carseat we had chosen and the Graco sweet peace swing, which is possibly nicer with more features than my car.
Then from my other friends and family, there were gift cards and outfits and more diapers and booties and sleepers...we were loaded down with STUFF. I appreciate and thank everyone that came and celebrated with us with a very special thank you to my sweet friend, who, as if she had nothing else to do, worked diligently to go above and beyond herself to make me feel special. Not everyone can say they have someone like that in their lives, but I can.
Now pictures....
The Moses Basket filled with goodies...you can catch a glimpse of the swing on the right and other gifts...oh and the balloons, well they never made it home. Sean and Travis loaded the stuff out and Sean comes back in and says very mechanically, "I let the balloons go. It was my fault. I am so sorry." I looked at him, then at Travis...who was smiling. I said, "Did HE really do it, and you're graciously covering for him so he's not in trouble?" He said that it was honestly him. Sage told me that Sean did it too, and you know she'd be the first to rat someone out...so okay.Ordering...
These are some of my friends, Brandi and Randi, that I went to college with. We suffered through xray school together, and though I don't get to see them as much now, I was so glad that they were able to come.
Beautiful, delicious cake
Sage and Isabella
Comparing stomachs...I win. I was 34 weeks that day, too.
It's a toss up who wins here. Sage has asked Travis several times during my pregnancy, "When is Daddy having his baby?"

I thought this bag was cute.
Getting comfortable on the couch because...it's getting more difficult to do these days.
Emily and Grayson
He's ready for that.
Itty bitty onesies
Even though I look ridiculous, this bag is one of my favorites.
When I first told Sage we were going to the baby shower, she said, ''WHY?! he's not even here yet! Why are we having a birthday party and giving him presents?" I explained to her that she had MANY baby showers. (She'd asked at the shower if we were going to sing "happy shower.") Anyway, when we got home that night she said, "Mommy! THANK YOU so MUCH for inviting me to your baby shower! I've never been to one, and that was so much fun!"
