For Inquiring Minds...or minds that are bored out of themselves

If I ever do any kind of a "survey," so to speak, on myspace, I take it with a grain of salt. I'm very aware that I don't have 280 friends, so I never get too deep on there. I actually answer with crazy, off the wall things that I used to get emails about wondering if I was serious. But here, I'll do my best to be as open as I'm ever going to be in writing.

Favorite person (outside family)? Wow! That's tough. I don't know that I have a "favorite." Everyone in my life that I WANT there adds something special that I appreciate. Of course, I'm only close to a few. You know who you are.

Favorite food? Oh, it depends on the day. These things are consistently loved by me though: grilled chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A, sushi from Fuji, extra dark Godiva chocolate truffles, and chocolate chip cookies from Walmart's bakery. That's so odd...

Quirks about you? I have zero attention span. I really only like to watch movies that I've seen before. VERY rarely one will come out that I want to see. I don't really go out of my way to talk to people. This is confused as being a snob, but I'm just guarded. I get irritated when someone takes forever to make their point, but I think I tend to take a while to make my point. I hate most restaurants. I'm the last to suggest where I want to go but the first to reject the suggestion. I can't STAND when people don't do what they say they're going to do. If you do this consistently, consider us not friends.....I suppose I could blog about this in itself, but there's a few quirks for you.

How would the person who loves you most describe you in ten words or less? He says that I'm "fearfully and wonderfully made in His image."

Any regrets in life? This is the part where I'm supposed to say, "No, because at one time it was exactly what I wanted." or, "It all happened to make me who I am." Very true. But let's be honest, I DO have regrets. If I could have seen into the future and saw outcomes of decisions I made, relationships I had, etc you better BELIEVE I'd change certain things in a second because it was hard. If I could have avoided heartache and stress, in my humanity and immaturity, of course I would have. But that's not the reality of life, so no point in having regrets.

Favorite Charity/ Cause? Anything for finding the cure of cancer, particularly breast cancer, as my dear aunt died from that evil disease at 43 years old.

Favorite Blog recently? John Mayer's. He never ceases to make me laugh.

Something you can’t get enough of? Money. Just kidding...partially. Time. And kisses from Sage.

Worst job you’ve ever had? Well, it appears any and all of them, right? Kidding. That'd have to be SONIC. I actually roller bladed, believe it or not. The job sucked though.

What job would you pay NOT to have? Well, it appears any and all of them, right? :) This is going to sound bad, but I don't really want to work with people. That's so bad! If I have to have a job, put me at a computer where I just go about my business there, preferably at home. If I have to say specifically....um school bus driver. That's so random.

If you could be a fly on the wall, where? Oooh! Hmm...this has to be good. John Mayer's DRESSING room! ha! Um, yeah, that sounds pretty nice.

Favorite Bible verse right now? "He will have no fear of bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear; in the end he will look in triumph on his foes." Psalms 112: 7-8

Guilty Pleasure? Shopping. Chocolate. A glass or 4 of wine every now and then.

Got any confessions? I spent $70 on makeup tonight. But I was out of a lot and hadn't bought any in a long time. So I don't feel so bad.

If you HAD to spend $1,000 on YOURSELF, how would you spend it?
HAD to? First, don't ask twice. Actually, I'd put it toward some debt at this point (like that makeup). I really don't need anything except my hair colored DESPERATELY.

Favorite thing about your house? Hmm...I love that it has so many bright colors throughout, particularly red. I love, LOVE red. I love that it's on 2 lots, so we have a HUGE yard. I love that it's 2 stories, and all of our bedrooms are upstairs. I love our huge family room. AND I love the open, 2 story foyer.

Least favorite thing about your house? I wish it had more of an open floor plan.

One thing you are bad at? Having patience. I tend to be on the short tempered side. And even though I almost demand organization, I am quite terrible at it. I suppose that's why I want it. I just want someone to do it for me.

One thing you’re good at? I think I keep house really well. I'd like to think I'm a good mother. I'm also really articulate, in my opinion. ;)

If you could change something about your circumstances, what?
Well, I'd definitely be debt free, which is an easy answer. There's some more difficult issues that, even on here, I just CAN'T say. Maybe it's because I really don't know how I'd change them, but I just know I want them different.

Who would you like to meet someday? I don't know? Is it bad that no one comes to mind? I know people are expecting me to say "John Mayer," but not really. I just want to see him naked. :)

What makes you feel sexy? Being thin. Being dressed up.

Who is your real life hero? Well, I guess I'd have to say Travis, my mom and my grandmother. They're the most selfless people I know. I'd be honored for someone to compare me to them.

What is the hardest part of your job? Mothering is the hardest but most rewarding job anyone can have. The hardest part being the CONSTANT discipline balanced with love and patience...patience being what I need to master most.

When are you most relaxed? When Travis is home, Sage is content, the house is clean, nothing needs to be done...we just ARE here, and it is good.

What stresses you out? A lot. When anything seems to be out of my control or overwhelming, I stress. It doesn't take much, whether it be messes, dogs, crying, bills, sickness, unorganization, not knowing where to begin...I'm working on it though. I'm what they call, "Type A."

What can you not live without? I always have and always will need some time to myself every now and then.

Do you agree or disagree with the recent article that reported that blogs are authored by narcissists? I didn't read that article, but I already know I'm a narcissist, so what's the problem?

Why do you blog? Because somewhere, someone needs to know what I have to say. Seriously, I honestly have no idea. It's mainly to update photos of my girl. I also like to vent. I like to write, and I think I write well, but I've never been able to keep up the motivation to journal. Thus, the blog. Take it or leave it. ♥
