Trick or Treat
Since Halloween is today and it's a Sunday, trick or treating was last night. Sage was so excited because she lives to eat candy. We live in a neighborhood that is known for trick or treating, but the past few years, the crowd has just been average in my opinion. I think it's because a lot of churches have functions, but this year, I guess most of them had their festivals today. I'm thinking this because we had 100s of trick or treaters last night. TRUCK LOADS. It was CRAZY, and we were right in the middle of them all. Jaggar was great--as long as he had a sucker or some other sugary treat in his mouth. The weather was just perfect too. Fun night.
Travis and the kiddos. That's Sage's glow stick. Was there ever one more appropriate for her? It's her magic wand.
Meagan brought Kylie over to trick or treat too. I got a glow stick for her just like Sage's. Kylie was riding a horse. Isn't that funny?
Travis was irritated and said, "Take the PICTURE!" so I did. Of the side of Jaggar's head. Now he knows why I was waiting.
Grandparents came over too (Mom is here visiting as she always is this time of year.) to see all of the kids off. They had treat bags for all the little ones too. (We have candy coming out of our ears by the way.)
Adding ME to the mix while Meagan's boyfriend took a picture. Shockingly enough, this was the only one that we had to take. It is a miracle. EVERYONE is looking, minus Jaggar, and that's just a normal picture of Jaggar.
Neighbors. Sage was awesome this year. She said, "Trick or treat!" and "Thank you" loud and clear each time.
We went to a ton of houses and got buckets of candy. Kids were crying and done (minus Sage), and my feet were crying to get off of them. Maybe I should take up exercising more because I slept better last night than I have in a long time!

Nostalgia
Remember this? Jaggar's infant seat? Apparently he does. Travis pulled it into the family room, and Jaggar watched TV in it for about 30 minutes. With the vibrate on, of course. These pics are hilarious.
He looks like he was about to go to sleep."Hmmm...let me adjust the setting here. Maybe I'd like a different song."

Pumpkin Carvin' Time
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Well, it's one of them for me: pumpkin carving time! We are cutting it close, but it's been so hot this year, I was afraid the pumpkins would rot before Halloween! Sage was so excited because she's been asking to carve them...well, since Friday night when I got them. I know, I know, for someone that loves fall so much, I've slacked off big time. Anyway, here's a ton of photos.
Excited (to be on the table really)I absolutely love this picture. It's so typical. Look at Sage's crying face. Then look at Jaggar's face of meanness. I laugh every time.
In the meantime, while Travis drew on the pumpkin to carve it, I was doing more important things like....
Getting ready...
Getting ready...
It's our favorite part. I don't know why, but I've always loved the inside of a pumpkin. Sage does too.
Then we called Bubs up there, and the strangest thing happened. The messiest of all the messy was UNSURE.
Sage couldn't stay out of the seeds and gunk. Why is it that one of my children is always ON the table instead of AT it?

Lunch with Sage
Today, Mom and I went to Sage's school to have lunch with her because Mom obviously couldn't go when it was Grandparents' Day. We looked at the menu and chose a day based on that. You know how school lunches are. They had chicken fingers today (not happening with me), but they also had salad and baked potatoes. It really wasn't half bad, but more importantly, it meant a lot to Sage. I actually remembered to bring my camera with me!
Sweet. And Mister here was excellent. You probably can't see it in the picture, but he has a black eye and a bruise on his cheek. I should have named him Bruiser. He never stops falling, but what can I do?Sage and Nonni.
Sage and her friend, Alexis, who came to sit by Sage.

Typical
Below are two different scenes that illustrate my kids very well.
The first: Well, I think it speaks for itself. She's screaming. He's tackling her. Yes, it's a day in the life. :)The second: that's Jaggar in our ottoman. Someone asked me months ago why I didn't have it in the center of the living room. Here is one reason why. I actually have it to store toys and things that I don't want all over my family room, but lately...well, you can see what Jaggar does about that. It's also a ladder, diving board, etc...

What a Ride
When we were in Kentucky for Fall Break, we discovered a new 'kid thrill' in the middle of the mall. You may not notice how malls are putting more and MORE of these kinds of things all throughout if you don't have children screaming to do them. Rides, bungee jumps, simulators...it's getting crazy, but what we found this day was pretty cute. They are basically huge stuffed animals on wheels that you can ride in a big fenced in circle. It was perfect for both of my kids....oh, and ME. Hey, he couldn't do it by himself.
