Like Mother, Like Daughter

I put this picture by itself for a special reason. Notice the only 2 people that were prepared for this picture to be taken. Always. Ready. Just sayin'.

Some Family Photos

I think a picture like this may have been nonexistent before now. We're usually only all together like this on Holidays. Not everyone was present here, but it was a good opportunity and effort. This is my immediate family, my aunt Robin, and cousins Bryan, Lindsay, and Amber. Then there's the kids: Sage, Mikayla, and Jaggar. Quite a few cousins are missing as well as aunts and uncles, but I still like it.With Travis present
Duke the reindeer. He walked by carrying this stick while we were taking pictures, and it was too funny to not post a picture.

Fun in the Garden

For the past few years, my mema has planted a garden in her backyard with tomatoes, cucumbers, and possibly squash. Sage thought it was AWESOME this year and was more than excited to pick the ENDLESS amounts of tomatoes. The closest thing we've ever had to a garden was when Travis inadvertently threw some watermelon seeds out of our back door, causing a vine with a few watermelons to grow. (They never got big enough to eat.) The Farmer and her crops
She had so many tomatoes by the time the day was over.
Look how proud she is.

A Special Introduction

A few weeks before we arrived in Louisville, my papa had to go to the hospital. Doctors did not expect him to pull through, as they said he was in heart failure. Only the Lord knows the day He will calls us into His presence, and apparently that just wasn't his time, no matter what doctors said. Unfortunately, from being in the hospital so long, he lost his ability to walk. So when we got to Louisville, he was in a nursing home. Papa loves babies and Jaggar is his first great grandson, so of course we headed to the nursing home for them to meet. Travis got some sweet pictures.

Meeting Family

The weekend of August 22nd, we all made our first trip to Kentucky since Jaggar's birth to meet everyone and to go to the Kentucky State Fair. I think everyone liked him. ;) Jaggar is so different than Sage was as a baby. She was shy from the time she was an infant, and that's okay, but it made it hard for them to get to know her. She is WAY over this now. But Jaggar just loves anyone and everyone, and it is the sweetest thing. I think he got to meet almost every member of the family minus an uncle and a few cousins.

Mema stopped by the night we got there. I think they had an instant connection.
His hands are ALWAYS in his mouth these days.

Meeting my brother, Uncle Kevin

my aunt Robin
I'm still number one. :)
If you're wondering why he's naked, that'd be because he "spit up" all over himself, me, and the floor. I say "spit up" because that seems like such a mild term for what he did. It was like pouring a very large cup of milk on him. Being mother of the year, I, of course, had no extra clothes in his bag. I really don't know why. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, especially for August, so it didn't really matter. I think he liked it.
It was a long day and off of his schedule, so he crashed outside. Sweet, sweet boy.
And then he opened his eyes shortly after like, "Where am I?"
Sage playing in the flowers
Mema, Mom (Nonni) and Jaggar. Travis took this picture because he's said from the day that Jaggar was born that he looks just like my mom. I really don't see it, but that's okay. I like the picture. Jaggar and Sage are identical. I need to scan her pictures that I had taken when she was this age and put them next to his. You'll see what I'm saying.

This is my cousin Lindsay's daughter, Mikayla. She is too cute and too funny. She and Sage play so well together. I wish we lived closer, so they could grow up playing together like Lindsay and I did. Mikayla is also going to be a big sister in November to a new brother, Tyler. See? Even Jaggar would have a friend.

Mema and all of her great grandchildren. This is a typical "kid" picture with not one child looking at the camera.
I could just kiss his face all day. Well, that's pretty much what I do.
Such a sweet moment with Jaggar and Robin.
My aunt Rosie came to see him the next day before we went to the fair. She, of course, loved him too.
My dad and Jaggar. He's just so happy all the time. What a gift!

Someone is Moving

I was putting away laundry just now, so I laid Jaggar under his floor gym next to me. Now I didn't initially take a picture, but his feet WERE at 12:00, if you will. In this picture, you should be seeing the top of his head...HOWEVER, when I looked down, he was not only turned but on his side! He's quite proud of himself too. This smile is his typical self. It's good to see because he's been sick the past few days. He cried all day on Monday, which was pitiful. The smile is back!
I never moved in taking these pictures. Someone else did. :)
Go back to the first picture, and then look at this one. From where he originally started (which I don't have a picture of), he did a complete 180. No more leaving him alone in the boppy!

First Day of Pre-K

The loooong awaited day finally arrived today: the first day of school. Sage was ecstatic to be starting school today. She talked about it all day yesterday. I was terribly sick yesterday with a fever that went from Jaggar to me, and Sage was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to take her. Feeling better today, I got up at 6:30 to take a shower, but she was so excited that she got up then too, ran into the bathroom and screamed, "It's SCHOOL DAY!" I was NEVER like that from preschool through college, so I hope she continues in her excitement. She was even saying things like, "I'm going to be there a long time, right?" For those that may not know, we've switched her from her previous school to a new one that is closer and 3 days a week. It was a hard decision because I loved her other school, but until she HAS to go 5 days a week for the rest of her life, I wanted to keep it as simple as possible.

Speaking of simple...during orientation a few weeks ago, I met her teacher and she gave Sage (translated: ME) and all the other kids a project to do: an "all about me" poster. I think Sage's turned out to be adorable! She was so proud of it. Jaggar must have been excited too because he was up at 6 something as well. :)
Sage in her new class. You don't see many other kids there yet because we couldn't get there fast enough for her. She wanted to leave an hour before it was time. She is such a different child since Jaggar has been born. She used to be so timid and shy, but now she's talking to everyone, hugging people, ordering at restaurants, spending nights away from us...I guess a baby brother is just what she needed, and, of course, she's just growing up.
Her teacher, Ms Betsey
I took this picture because she cleaned her room and made her bed while she was waiting to leave. She was so excited. When I picked her up, her expectations had been met because she was very happy and excited to go back.

Apology!

To anyone that reads this: I am so sorry that I have not updated in forever. I was actually uploading photos to my computer just now, and the stupid battery in the camera died before I could get them on the computer. FRUSTRATING. Anyway, we are here. I have a TON of photos to post, but I don't have that same amount of time to do it in. When the camera battery is charged, I'll try to upload those pictures again.

One for the Wall

Yep, it's on it's way in a 16x20.

Dior Baby

This outfit was in my basket of goodies from my friends at my shower, and it finally fits Jaggar. It says Dior all over it! Last night, I tried it on him with the hat and it was one of the cutest things I've ever seen. It was so funny. I showed him to Travis, and he said, "Chef Boyardee." Either way, Dior or Chef Boyardee, I don't think you can deny how cute he is.
He was on the verge of going to sleep for the night, and I made Travis take pictures. This face is from the flash each time.

His Favorite Person

aside from me is definitely Sage. He has actually laughed out loud a few times ALREADY, and it is ALWAYS at her. They are pretty sweet together.

She got props for this. She can always get him to smile.
He is just the cutest thing I've ever seen. This was his 3 month birthday by the way.
Aren't they adorable?
