This evening, Sage had been invited to a joint birthday party for two friends of her's at the skating rink. She's been so excited since we got the invitation, and so has Travis. He said, "This is just one of those moments that you look forward to as a parent: the first time you take them SKATING." Ha, I'm glad he felt that way because I was wondering how I was going to manage her on skates. It really could have went either way with her, but I'm glad to say that she had a really good time. The skating rink is 2 seconds from our house, so we are going to try to take her more often so she can actually learn to skate. However, she didn't do too bad for her first time.
*****Update on Jaggar: His doctor's appointment was right before the party, and the verdict is....a VIRUS/there's nothing to be done for him. I'm still glad that I took him before the weekend because I would have second guessed myself and worried. She said that his bloodwork (which he didn't even cry over, thank God) showed that it had already peaked and that he should be on the downside of it now. He weighed 17 lbs, 13 1/2 ounces at his 9 1/2 months of age. Guess he's going to be small like his sister. He came to the birthday party too and really enjoyed all of the lights. Towards the end, he was ready to get DOWN and play, but he still ran a fever in the night. Please continue to pray for him.*****
Now on to the party...
I really love this picture.See my skates? Yeah RIGHT. Hey, don't forget (or come to the knowledge, whichever is the case for you) that this girl used to rollarblade while serving food at the Sonic, BABY. That was just 11 years ago. ;)
She loves her daddy.
They had a great time.
J Cruiz really wanted to get down.
At the very end, they turned out the lights to skate in the black lights. I know you can't see much, but I just wanted to show that Jaggar and I wore the perfect outfits for this without even knowing it. How cool are we?
