Since last year, my mom has wanted us to come to Kentucky for the state fair. It is cool. We used to go every year when we were little. It was neat to see it again through the eyes of MY daughter. We had SO much fun. We were there for literally 12 hours, and the weather was great for August. My mom likes to tell people that we "saw it all, rode it all, and ate it all." Pretty true. There were some really neat shows, and Sage actually rode some big rides (for her). These were the first rides, other than the carousel, that she's ridden. Unfortunately those pictures were on my mom's camera, and she decided to delete them before I put them on a CD. Oh well, I have some cute pics too. Thank you, Mom, for a great day. Whatever we wanted, we got. It was a great visit.
IN Louisville
Sage liked this fountain.
This was an alligator show, and it was really cool. If that guy's reflexes had been SLIGHTLY off, his arm would have been gone. It was hissing and snapping its jaws at him. Pretty creepy.
Tiger show-7 tigers in one ring with one man, who I think may be dead after all the shows he did. "Trained" or not...I wouldn't do it. They kept roaring at the man when he'd try to pet them. This was the one white tiger.
Looking for a better meal...
This tiger was featured on "Most Amazing Animals" for her tightrope walk. I was pretty impressed.
Sage in the bumper boat
Her favorite--the bungee jump.
And for the first time, with help, she did a flip.
Ha...so true.
But so good.
Sage, Nonni, and Pupcake, the toy she chose.
The entrance to the midway. Sage rode that ferris wheel too. The rides went way back to the right, but I didn't get a view of that.
