Well Travis left today for Detroit, Michigan for a week for a tv shoot. That's going to be a LONG time, so I thought (since my whole weekend is church) that Sage and I should go to Birmingham for a little retail therapy. We went to the Summit and ate a Zoe's, which appears to be a hole in the wall amongst the other "high end" restaurants offered there. Don't be fooled--they have some of THE best food ever. It's Greek. It's different. It's cheap. It's fabulous.
Anyway, after that I took Sage to what she had been waiting for: Pottery Barn Kids. We had just looked through the newest catalogue, so she was REALLY excited to see the goodies in person. She goes to the girliest side of the store and finds.....drum roll.....wait for it.... Baby Abbey. Immediately she picks her up and goes, "Ohhh she's ready to go home!"
You can't JUST have baby Abbey though. Oh no, you have to have the diaper bag that goes with her, which includes two diapers, a cloth bottle, a changing pad, AND a container with two wipes. So she's got the baby in the box and the diaper bag on her shoulder. Grand total? $85. Yeah, here it goes:
Cost of Baby Abbey: $39
Cost of diaper bag: $39
Cost of unending fun and joy from Sage: Priceless
So she's walking down the strip with the baby in her arms and the bag on her shoulder and people are "oohing" and "ahhing" over her. She WAS cute. She'd go, "Mommy isn't she beautiful?" Then she'd speak to the baby: "It's okay 'phweethawt' (sweetheart). I'll change your diaper. Mommy, I gotta change her diaper. She pee-peed." She really is so entertaining.
